I just got email, asking for help with identifying this card. The story is:
Quote: It's kind of a long story, but I worked in a local bookshop in Chicago during the early 80s (circa 1983/1984). One of my colleagues who worked with the magazines handed me the attached card, and I was fascinated by the image. He said it was part of a series of cards from an Italian magazine (it might have been called Bella or Anna Bella); but when I tried to ask him for more information, he just kind of scoffed at me and that was it. I never knew anything more about the card, nor did I ever want to talk to this guy ever again if that's the reaction I would expect from him. As you can see from the attachment, it's the eye of Horus, and the Italian words are Preveggenza (Foresight), Cecita (Blindness) and Occhio Sacro (Sacred Eye). It appears that the card can be played right side up or upside down to give its message. I just like the image as well as the overall card design, that I'd like to know whether there were more cards in this series or whether it was just a one-off.
