 I just discovered the Energy Matrix Tarot while browsing the internet for something else.

It is not a true tarot but an oracle of 44 cards. It is based on the energy art of Australian artist Shanon in her Cyclopes Art Gallery

The 44, 4"x 3,"color cards are  accompanied with a handbook and meanings.

 I wonder why "tarot" is used so frequently for oracle and fortune-telling decks without tarot structure. I guess it's considered a synonym in popular culture.  Oh well.  How inconvenient....

Yes I expect it is an easy way to describe a set of symbol cards. I rarely buy these, and prefer to stick to cards with a definite tarot structure. I only have  ten or so such oracle decks in my collection. I won't be buying this deck, but I thought it might interest some of our colleagues on the forum.

 I think at least part of it is the hope that people will buy it thinking it IS a tarot.... it is REALLY annoying. The Symbolon annoys me PARTICULARLY that way.... !

Probably because that was one that almost got me !:gi

I think the one that really gets me are those sellers on Ebay who put the words "Not Tarot" in the title of their auctions, just in order  that they will get into a search for the keyword "tarot". I do get tired of wading through these.
