As I posted on Aeclectic a few months ago, last spring I took a flyer on an unknown (to me) Japanese deck and book set called The Hindi Tarot and when it arrived discovered that it was an extremely intriguing artifact. In the intervening months, I've been trying to find out more about it, but have come up with absolutely nothing. There is no ISBN and the only English text (apart from the card titles) identifies it as having been printed in Japan in 1986 and names the Sanei Co. and Reed Co.

Rather than repeat the info about it, you can find the original Aeclectic post with a description and links to pics here.

I would love to know more about this deck. In particular, who is the artist and where did this card structure come from? (The art style is not only very eclectic, but in some ways a very odd match to the design of the rest of the set.) Does anyone know anything more? (Hawkeye?)
