June 9, 2014, The Professor (Bob Carlson) died unexpectedly of previously undiagnosed lung cancer. He was an excellent Tarot reader, but more than that he was a teacher of earth and environmental sciences, especially hazardous materials handling and disposal. The Hierophant sees the world and the world beyond, so his view is sometimes fragmented in our eyes; he cannot be dismissed because he sees beyond and tries to teach others whose vision may seem clearer but is incomplete.
