Perhaps it is blocked by McAfee / Microsoft etc because they don't subscribe to the various forms of blackmail such anti virus companies use to gain new money . I understand that to host on a lot of the big boy's & girl's servers or run through them they want to make you pay a fee ."

It sounds like a reasonable explanation. The difference in our experience could be due to the browsers used - I tried with both Chrome and Edge.
Oh, and I edited my original post to say that I managed a way round the download to sign in - I should have mentioned that as you may have missed it.
