Hello, Welcome to the forum!

When it comes to tarot collecting, I have found that being "particular" is the first line of defense against bankruptcy. :D

If you are interested in the physical care of tarot decks, I am hoping to create some posts in the not-too-distant future about some of the restoration techniques I have used to resolve issues such as foxing, stains, musty odors, and so on.

For now, I would say that one of the best things that any tarot collector can do is to invest in a good dehumidifier to consistently keep the card environment at 40% relative humidity. This will help prevent issues such as foxing, mildew, and musty odors, especially on older, uncoated cards and book paper.
